See whether a bet is worth it before you place it

Betworth is research, not a bookmaker: the form, the fair odds and every bookmaker’s odds in one place, and a way to test your ideas on past seasons. Four things to know:

How Betworth works

Betworth is betting research, not a bookmaker. It never takes a bet or tells you what to back: it shows you the numbers and lets you decide.

Prefer to see it on a real match? Take the two-minute tour.

  1. 1

    Research the match

Form, Head-to-Heads, team news and stats for every match, as they stood before kickoff, and every bookmaker’s odds beside the fair odds.

    This week’s matches
  2. 2

    Test an idea

Turn a hunch into a Strategy, in your own words or with the builder, and see how often its bets won over past seasons, against backing every match.

  3. 3

    Plan your bets

Keep the bets you mean to back, with your own odds and stakes, in a Bet Plan. Price Check tells you whether your odds are better than fair.

  4. 4

Place it at the best odds

Every match shows each bookmaker’s odds and which are best. When you’re ready, a Partner’s link takes you straight there.

The words we use

The pages use everyday words. Where Betworth has its own name for an idea, a small chip beside the words shows it: tap one for what it means.

A betSelection
One outcome you can bet on, like Arsenal to win or over 2.5 goals, settled by Betworth’s own rules so every bookmaker’s odds compare like for like.
Best oddsBest Price
The highest odds any bookmaker we track is offering right now, whoever it is. A Partner deal never changes which odds are best.
Fair oddsConsensus Price
What the market thinks a bet is really worth: the bookmakers’ odds with their margin taken out, combined. Odds above them are better than fair.
WonHit Rate
How many of a Strategy’s past bets won, out of every 100.
Backing every matchBase Rate
How often the same bet won in every match, with no conditions at all. A Strategy is only interesting if it wins more often than this.
Against the marketEdge
How often a Strategy’s bets won, compared with the chance the fair odds gave them at the time. Above zero, it beat the market; below, the bookmakers had already priced it in.
How it did over past seasonsBacktest
Running a Strategy over past seasons, using only what was known before each match, to see how its bets would have turned out.
Since it was savedForward Record
How a Strategy’s bets have done since it was saved: each recorded before kickoff and never changed. Kept apart from how it did over past seasons.
Bets onTarget
The one kind of bet a Strategy looks for, like over 2.5 goals or a home win.
Only whenCondition
A test a match has to pass for a Strategy to bet on it, like “both teams’ last 10 mostly had 3 or more goals”. It only uses what was known before kickoff.
Over their last 5Window
The earlier matches a stat is worked out over: the last 5 or 10, this season, at home or away, or past meetings.
Break-even odds
The odds at which a Strategy’s bets would neither win nor lose, given how often they won. Odds above them suggest value.
Better than fair, about fair, below fair
Odds compared with the fair odds: 2% or more above them is better than fair, within 2% is about fair, 2% or more below is below fair. It describes the odds, never what to back. Exchange odds are compared before their commission.

Staying in control

Betworth is for over-18s. You can Take a Break from your account for a day, a week, a month or six months: we hide every Bookmaker Link and pause your alerts, and it can’t be ended early.
