Terms of use
Betworth is betting research, not a bookmaker. It shows you the numbers and lets you decide; it never takes a bet or tells you what to back.

About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Starkey Corporation (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa, which runs Betworth. By using Betworth you accept them. Our privacy policy explains what we keep about you.
What Betworth is, and isn’t
Betworth is an information service: form, statistics and odds for football and rugby union, Strategies tested on past seasons, and a Bet Plan for the bets you intend to place elsewhere. It is free to use.
- We are not a bookmaker. We don’t take bets, hold money, or place bets for you.
- We don’t give advice. Nothing on Betworth is a tip, a recommendation to bet, or financial advice. Verdicts such as “better than fair” describe odds against the market; they are not predictions.
- Past results don’t predict future ones. How a Strategy did over past seasons, or since it was saved, doesn’t mean it will do the same again. No Strategy is promised to make money.
Who can use it
Betworth is for people aged 18 or over. You must be 18 or over to create an account, and you may only use Betworth where gambling and gambling information are lawful for you. Following a link to a bookmaker is your choice, and their own terms and checks apply.
Your account
- You sign in with Google or an emailed link. Keep access to that email secure: it is the key to your account.
- The date of birth you give must be true. We may close an account we believe belongs to someone under 18.
- You can take a break from your account for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or 6 months. A break can’t be ended early: that is the point of it.
- You can ask us to close your account at any time.
The information on Betworth
We work hard to get results, statistics and odds right, but they come from third-party providers and can be late, incomplete or wrong. Odds change quickly: always check the odds with the bookmaker before you bet. How bets are settled on Betworth (for your Bet Plan and Strategy records) follows Betworth’s own published rules, which may differ from a bookmaker’s.
Bookmakers and Partner links
Some bookmakers are our Partners: when you join one through a link on Betworth, they pay us. A deal never changes which odds we show or which are best, and bookmakers without a deal are shown too. Partners are licensed where we link to them. Your relationship with a bookmaker is between you and them; we aren’t responsible for their service, their offers or their decisions about your account.
Gambling responsibly
Only bet what you can afford to lose, and never chase losses. Betworth never suggests a stake. If gambling stops being fun, take a break on your account page, and get free, confidential support:
- UK: BeGambleAware.org or the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133. To block gambling sites and apps, use GamStop.
- South Africa: the National Responsible Gambling Programme on 0800 006 008.
Using Betworth fairly
Please don’t:
- copy or collect Betworth’s data in bulk, by scraping or otherwise, or resell or republish it;
- try to break, overload or get around the site’s security or limits;
- use Betworth to break the law, or to help someone under 18 gamble.
We may suspend or close an account that does.
What belongs to us
Betworth’s site, design, text, Strategies and analysis belong to us or the people we license them from. You may use them for your own, personal use. Team names are used only to identify teams; Betworth isn’t connected with or endorsed by any club, league or bookmaker unless it says so.
Our responsibility to you
Betworth is free, and provided as it is. We don’t promise it will always be available or error-free, and we are not responsible for any bet you place or what happens to it, including losses from relying on information on Betworth.
Nothing in these terms limits anything the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer under UK or South African law.
Changes and ending
We may change Betworth and these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you before it takes effect; using Betworth after that means you accept it. You can stop using Betworth at any time, and we may stop offering it, telling you first where we can.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of South Africa. If you live in the UK, you keep the protection of UK consumer law and may bring a claim in the courts where you live.
